so microsoft is working on windows 7, but what are the other 6 before it. windows 3.1 I would guess is 3. win 95 would be 4 win 98 would be 5 win 2000/me would be 6 win XP would be 7 win vista would be 8 then they should be on 9 . . . or is there something i’m missing?

and windows 7 looks very similar to vista too. And why is it called Windows 7?
