windows 7

I am planning on buying Windows 7 for $29.99 with Microsoft’s student offer. I want to know if after I buy and download the upgrade, will I be able to put it on both my laptop and desktop?

There is a Windows 7 upgrade that comes with 3 users, as a family promotional offer, but it will be discontinued soon. That is, as far as I’ve seen, the only Windows 7 that comes with more than 1 activation.

If you’re going with the student bundle, you will only be able to use it on 1 computer, unfortunately.

you will have to purchase two licenses. you can still use the same download though.,

Legally, no… Technically, yes! Activating your product would be the only problem seeing as you can only activate windows a certain ammount of times before you have to actually call and talk to a Microsoft Representative in order to activate.

Technically, no. But what they don’t know can’t hurt them. There is, however, a ‘Family Pack’ option available that gives you the rights to 3 PCs. Unfortunately, it costs about $150.

You’ll get one key which will be tied to the first computer on which it’s activated.

If you have multiple installs, you might want to look into the family pack in addition.

You could, once I got a Windows XP computer, and then upgraded it to Windows 7. I also had a Vista, which I upgraded to Windows 7, on the same disk.

Yep, there are windows 7 activation cracks all over the net.

No, when you buy a copy of windows you are entitled to ONE licence meaning you can only install it on ONE computer.

I suggest if you want it on both machines than buy to copies. you will still be saving money over a retail copy that goes for 100+ dollars
