windows 7 home premium

I have a windows XP home edition (piece of crap) and I was thinking of upgrading to Windows 7 Home Premium. But then a thought hit me, could I upgrade because I only have xp home?

P.S
My computer can handle it( quad core @ 3 GHz, 4 GBs of ram, and 1 TB hard drive)

Sure, but you may have to do a clean install and not a straight upgrade.

Just go to the Microsoft website to check it out.

Unfortunately, upgrading is not an option as Windows 7 will not upgrade from Windows XP.

The good news, however, is that when Windows 7 “Clean Installs” over top of an existing windows version, it copies the old windows folder along w/ Program Files folders to c:\windows.old, so you’ll still be able to move files back to where you need/want them after the installation.

Good luck, Win7 will run beautifully on that system!

You can, but you will have to perform a clean install of Windows 7.
