windows 7

I partitioned my hard drive when the windows 7 beta came out so I could dual boot vista and 7. I didn’t like it much so I just formatted the 7 partition, and made the drive into one again. I still have the option to boot into 7 at startup though. How do I get rid of this option so it just boots vista like normal.

PS choosing windows 7 will just give an error, it won’t actually boot. The system is totally gone.
Excellent! Thanks so much man!!!

Use Easy BCD from Neosoft to adjust the boot order.
Alternatively, use Gparted to make the Vista partition the boot partition and make any necessary boot menu adjustments with Easy BCD.
    Hope that helps

Download EasyBCD and use it to change the boot table.

just to let you know that the original way of doing this is to boot from your original windows vista cd and click “repair”.

while in repair you then need to type in “fixmbr” and hit enter.

reboot the machine and remove the cd. it should then fix your boot screen.
