I just upgraded to windows 7 x32 from vista and I haven’t noticed any speed/boot differences. If anything it lags more than before so right now I kinda wish I had kept vista. What do you think of windows 7?

it depends to what service pack of vista you are comparing Win7 with.
Vista SP2 is about the same speed as Win7, you won’t see much different, especially if you have more then 2-GB of RAM.
Btw, Win 7 is miles better. Google: Vista vs. Windows 7

I found the boot screen is a little longer, but in general its on the same level of XP for speed. The simplicity of the navigation makes it even faster.

The os does not determine the speed of the internet that is done with dial up/ DSL/ Cable Modem
It opens programs faster so they say

Not that much—-That’s not what windows 7 seems to be aiming for

That depends on what service pack, and your specs, and all the crap you have to slow down your computer. Personally, I LOVE my Windows 7 and it did wonders for me.

Firstly, you’ll tend to guarantee yourself better performance if you do a clean install rather than upgrade.
Depending on what hardware and software you have installed, some things might continue to slow you down beyond the OS itself.
