windows 7

I heard that laptop manufacturers (HP, Acer etc) are going to offer a free upgrade to Windows 7 if you buy a laptop now, but that they will charge for postage and packing. Does anyone know how much each manufacturer will charge for them?

Most are expected to have a maximum $9.99 shipping charge for the “free” upgrades.

Not all models from all manufacturers are eligible, so make sure whatever you’re looking at is before you buy.

Probably around $10, but it will vary by manufacturer so you will need to consult with them first.
