windows 7 home premium

Does the windows 7 Home Premium version have XP mode? I’m planning to preorder it but don’t really want to pay an extra $50 just for xp mode in the Professional version.

Windows 7 and Windows XP are two totally different operating systems. No idea what you mean by XP mode in Windows 7

It’s an add-on for Professional and higher. That would exclude Home Premium.

Most XP-compatible programs will be just fine as-is without the additional “XP Mode” however.

It’d mainly be things like small businesses with custom applications who might need the add-on.

Unless you think there’s a good reason you’d need it for some unique application(s) you have, you probably don’t need to worry about it.
