    Vista is crap.

Windows 7 hasn’t been released to the general public yet, so I don’t know.

Windows 7 has only been released in beta testing – but I assume Vista uses more.

Really doesn’t matter windows 7 is better than windows because they fixed all the bugs from windows vista but they look the same.

Windows 7 will be faster after all the bugs are out of it. Vista is Microsoft worst ever work.

Windows 7 is better in all categories hands down. Period.

Windows 7, A beta has been released before and I was one of the lucky people to try it. It was wayy better than Vista. Less add-ons that suck memory.

Windows 7 is now unavailble to the public because Microsoft has stopped the beta.

windows 7 will be faster when it comes out in October 2009
The report, posted Thursday at Pocket Lint, cites a U.K.-based Acer representative as saying Windows 7 will ship with the company’s upcoming Z5600 all-in-one PC starting on October 23. The Z5600 will actually become available in late September, the spokesperson is quoted as saying. Customers who purchase it during that first month will be offered a free Windows 7 upgrade after the release, he says.

Microsoft has announced that the Release Candidate version of Windows 7 will be available to the public as a free download on May 5. And since the RC version seems to be pretty much finished (I have not tried it), then it’s essentially giving it away for more than a year: as mentioned earlier, it won’t expire until 1 June next year.

Pirated copies of Windows 7 Release Candidate (RC) on file-sharing sites contain malware, according to users who have downloaded the upgrade.

Windows 7 is better and probably takes up less ram, but there is an unfixable hack for it. But then again they could have rushed Windows 7 to clean up after the Vista disaster.

Windows Vista will require more RAM.
Also, Vista isn’t crap, I’m running it right now, and it’s super fast an snappy, hasn’t ever crashed, and has done exactly what I’ve wanted it to. Then again I’ve got 5x the recommended minimum specs for it, maybe I’ll install W7 on it when it’s released..
And those of you who are new to computers, Windows ME was the worst OS Microsoft has ever released.

Your question makes no sense. The LESS RAM an OS uses, the faster the computer is. and to answer your question, Windows 7 takes up less RAM, I have the release candidate and it is freaking awesome.

I installed Windows 7 RC on a very old Hp with 1.2GHz P3 processor with 512mb of RAM. Just to see if it could be done. So far it only runs slightly slower than XP.
