windows 7 vs vista

I always hear my friends talking about their windows vista messing up. I, myself, have a HP laptop with windows vista that i bought about 4 months ago and it works perfectly. I have virus protection that’s up-to-date and I DO NOT have Limewire neither do i download uneccessary things. I always make sure i install the updates and all that good stuff. Sooooooo.. what’s really the difference between a Vista and 7?
is anyone having or had problems with their Vista?

Vista hangs up a lot and always has the problem of not responding…it happens even when it is fully updated.
Windows 7 is an upgrade to the OS which includes these bug fixes along with imroved GUI and performance and takes up less space and isn’t a memory hog.

Most of the problems with vista are due to older hardware issues. Add to that the fact that OS’s is written to accommodate NEW hardware. In vista’s case (like the much hated ME version of windows) they tried to accommodate new and old, hard to do to say the least. The big difference in Windows 7 is that much of the “bloat” has been taken out. and it does indeed run faster than vista. The machine I’m on now has xp, vista, and win7 in multiboot options, and I find myself gravitating more and more to win7 . I keep the others around for hardware I have that is to old for win7.

I have heard that W7 is much lighter-weight, and more secure.
It is actually said to be the best windows ever (We’ll see).

I really had no problems with Vista and I heavily prefer Vista over XP. Windows 7 is a new OS that takes all the best features of Vista and improves them. It also “fixes” all the things most people didn’t like about Vista (like the UAC) and it improves the performance and responsiveness of the OS so it’s more like XP. In short, Windows 7 is awesome.

I use both Operating Systems, but Windows 7 is just way faster. Your at your desktop in less than 10-15 seconds.

I also never had any big problems with Vista, just minor Security problems, but those where fixed easily.

Windows 7 is just way better than Vista, Speed, features, secured, not buggy like Vista was to some. Play’s Games better.

I’ll just keep my windowsXP as long as I can. I hate Vista.
