I don’t mind the hassle of formatting everything and doing a clean install of Windows 7, but is there any real advantage to waiting to buy a machine with Windows 7 preinstalled? (Are the PCs sold now really built to support Windows 7 100%?)

I’ve got an opportunity to buy a sweet laptop right now for a likw $650, that would usually cost over $1000. I was planning on waiting to buy a new laptop until after Windows 7 comes out (holiday season this year). What’s your opinion? Should I swoop up on this great deal, or do you think I’ll feel behind the times if I don’t have Windows 7 at the turn of the new year?

i heard that windows 7 will be launched at q1 2010. i also heard some rumor that windows 7 is better than that crap vista. i plan to buy a new computer next year. should i wait for windows 7 or just buy the vista computer.
