How Much Faster Is Windows 7 Supposed to Be?

I just upgraded to windows 7 x32 from vista and I haven’t noticed any speed/boot differences. If anything it lags more than before so right now I kinda wish I had kept vista. What do you think of windows 7?

I don’t mind the hassle of formatting everything and doing a clean install of Windows 7, but is there any real advantage to waiting to buy a machine with Windows 7 preinstalled? (Are the PCs sold now really built to support Windows 7 100%?)

Can this be done? I know you can upgrade from Vista to 7 Ultimate, but I’m interesting in buying a PC that comes with Windows 7 Home Premium installed. Will I be able to upgrade this to Ultimate if I want? Thanks!

I want to know if there are any draw backs from upgrading a new system with vista on it to windows 7 vs waiting months to buy a system that will be more expensive. Does upgrading my computer slow it down any way or does it work as good as getting it pre-installed on the same computer? thanks

what do you guys all think about the new windows 7 OS do you think that it is going to be in some ways the new XP or like VISTA only another name still doing/taking up all the RAM again i really wont peoples opinions on it

ok, so i want windows 7, i want all the features of home premium, but the extra of professional. in vista, HP and business were completely different, but now all i can gather is that professional is just HP with extras, is this true?

if i buy professional, will i be getting home premium with the extras, or am i missing some things out?

How is Windows 7 against Vista. I have Windows 7 RC in a Dual Boot config. and Vista and 7 is really nice. What are the differences that make 7 better. I was thinking of purchasing the upgrade for half off.

I Have Vista. If I Buy the Windows 7 CD Can I Still Install It as an Update?

I want to install Windows 7 as an update. But I also want to buy the CD.
Can I install it as an update from Vista if I buy the CD?
I want to keep all my applications and files and I dont want to have to put everything on a back up drive.
