OK. I downloaded the Beta version of Windows 7 from Microsoft. Now it wants me to burn an ISO file to make an install DVD. I tried several burning programs and they want me use a CD. It is not BIG enough to hold all the info. I put a DVD in the burner and it says no media..uuggghh. Please help. Thanks.
Yes, I have a DVD burner. I have both DVD R and DVD RW. It it asking for a CD but the file is too big for the CD. I want to make an install DVD of Windows 7 but I can’t!
Thanks for everyone for being so helpful. Now I feel like an IDIOT! I looked up my DVD “burner” specs and guess what…It is a combo CD burner with a DVD PLAYER…..OMG! I don’t plan on using Windows 7 on this computer. I know it is Beta and a trial. I have another computer to use it on. THanks for all your answers and once I purchase a DVD BURNER (tomorrow!) I will have my install DVD!

Are you use your computer has a DVD burner? If it says no media, it’s probable that your drive isn’t capable of burning DVDs.

Maybe the DVD is faulty? Try another one if possible or another burning program if that fails. Are you sure you have a DVD burner?

OK, from what you said… I hate to ask… but…
Is it a DVD burner? It should say DVD-R, DVD+R or something like that on the drive cover.
Is the media the right DVD media for the drive?

Try using ISO Burner:
It should burn DVD’s fine. If it doesn’t work, make sure your drive can actually write DVD’s, and that the type of blank DVD you are using is compatible with your drive (+/-R(W)).

i have the windows 7 beta and its about 2.44GB so a CD is no way near big enough, i used a dvd and the ISO burner software i used was ;PowerIso; i think the free trial lets you burn them..
or you can try this, its also highly recomended.
MagicIso
hope this helps.

The first thing is there is no software for window’s 7. Because it is beta and beta means EXPERIMENTAL software. You are a texter for window’s 7. You should never load a beta OS in your computer because there is NO support for it. The best thing you can do is find the recovery disc and redo your computer.
