hello i heard that if i buy windows vista later in the summer that ill get a free upgrade to windows 7? is that true? and if so what is the date?

    Who cares? That’s like saying you get a free box of crap when you buy a box of crap.

    And yes, Windows 7 is just Vista in disguise. Did anyone think Microsoft could come out with a new operating system so fast? It probably took them a week just to change the name.

    I heard that a while ago in some news article. It was also true of anyone who bought a computer I think six month before Vista came out, that they could get a free upgrade to Vista. My sister could have gotten a free upgrade to Vista, but since Vista was having so many issues when it first came out, we didn’t fill out the form and send in for it.

    But right now this seems to be the only free offer for it

    Windows 7 is still in beta version and it was free to download the trial version. However, it is no longer downloadable for free from microsoft website. I believe you can still find the windows 7 beta from somewhere else, you can then get the free trial product key from microsoft website.
