windows 7 beta
Darth Revan asked:

i see the download manager under processes in task manager (actually there are 7 download managers, because i pressed download 50 times but i didn’t know it was downloading because nothing told me it was downloading)

there is no progress bar or windows at all that have anything to do with the download.
and is this a dual layer dvd or single layer (i have no dual dvds but i DO have a dual layer burner and virtual clone drive installed)
virtual clone drive: http://www.slysoft.com/en/virtual-clonedrive.html
can i install and activate this in virtualpc?
i press end process and confirm it, but nothing happens.

One Response to “How Do I Know When 32bit Windows 7 Beta Is Finished Downloading?”

I’m no sure about this, but maybe you try stopping the download manager using Task Manager. Then, go to the web of Windows 7 and try again to download the beta. This time you can see the download manager just once.

About trying Windows 7 on VirtualPC, that is possible, creating a new virtual machine for Windows Vista, but instead of using a Vista DVD, just use the Windows 7 DVD, and you’re on the go!

Well, I don’t use VirtualPC, I use VMware (it’s my favorite :D ), and Windows 7 runs like a charm! I activated normally, with 512MB of RAM, I’ve installed Office 2007 and everything is fine ;-)
