Windows 7 beta is being released tommorow and i was wondering if I install it will it delete xp? And if it does how can i get xp back?

    Stay with Windows XP because Windows 7
    is worse than Windows Vista…nothing works
    with it…
    There are already reports of Numerous
    screw ups with Windows 7…
    Sure wish I could find a copy of XP
    Ever notice that you have to reserve 1/4 of
    your Hard drive just to store the Windows “Fixes” ?

    Am taking my Company away from anything Microsoft
    it has turned into a Garbage In, Garbage Out Company.
    Can obtain better products cheaper and more reliable.
    Plus 90% of them are Made In The USA…by Americans.

    If you dont want to loose XP dont do the upgrade, do the new install instead but have it go to a different drive or partition. upon finishing the installation when rebooting you will have the option of booting to XP or Windows 7. So you dont loose a thing and you can play around with Windows 7, which by the way is a lot faster than Vista and much better than XP. I have been using Windows 7 for a while now without any problems. Some of these so called computer experts are just guessing.

    you an partition your hard drive (not sure how but it must be somewhere online) and install it on the part with no data. It will be like having two completely different computers only you can access the files from one on the other. A friend of mine has three partitions one with our school required XP edition, one with Linux, and one with W7beta.

    The answer is yes if you prefer to do it in a different way.

    One of them would be installing a Virtual PC software. It acts like there is another PC inside your computer.

    Another one would be doing a dual boot.

    According to the Windows Team, “The Windows 7 Beta only supports Windows Vista SP1 to Windows 7 upgrades. So if you intend to do an upgrade – be sure it is on a PC running Windows Vista with Service Pack 1.”

    If you don’t put the windows 7 ISO (files) on the xp partition, windows xp will not be removed , check this article out about how to dual boot , if you do step by step what this article tells you , you will be able to use both xp and windows 7 beta .
