I’ve heard the the starter edition has left out a lot of things compared to the Home edition. And I’m not really loving my laptop. So, would it be better to buy a new laptop that has Windows 7, but in a starter edition? Or to grin and bear it with the laptop I’m using now, and buy a Windows 7 home edition disc?

    It really depends on the specs of the computers involved themselves and what your uses are.

    They do a relatively affordable “Anytime Upgrade” if you want to move up versions from something that comes with Starter.

    I’d decide first if you need to improve your laptop based primarily on its hardware.
