windows 7

For people who have tried the Windows 7 beta, is Windows 7 by far the best operating system you have ever seen?

I think it is. It is so much faster, more secure, and better than any other operating system currently available. How many years will it take for Linux or Mac to catch up to Windows 7?

VM/370 and later versions of VM are the best operating systems I’ve ever used. You can run copies of any other operating system under them. Next to that, MacOSX: you can run a copy of Windoze and/or Linux under MacOSX. Then Linux. Then Windoze.

no…. the best software to use is vista ultimate…
the windows seven make my computer slower and worse, and the taskabar often blinking.
i love it taskbar, but no when it blinking…

How did you get past the blue screen?

In the time you posted this I hacked in your windows computer and found your porno. And you call yourself god’s faithful servant.

Mac and Linux already got up with windows. Have you tried any of them in the past decade?

TRY USING A PROPER OPERATING PLATFORM AND NOT A MICKEY MOUSE ONE.

    WHY LINUX IS BETTER

YOUR CONSTANT OPINIONS AND BAITING ARE BBBOOORRRIIINNNGGG

    LUg.

    1. Faster? Nope. I can run Linux entirely in RAM, on a 486, and still boot it in 20 seconds.
    2. More secure? This is Windows, don’t be silly.
    3. “Better” is highly subjective. Oooh, pretty wallpaper! It MUST be better!

How long will it take others to catch up? Yesterday.

Idk. I’m a Windows and Linux user. Both OS are pretty awesome!

I’m downloading Windows 7 RC1 right now. I plan on trying it out withing the next few days. As for it being better then Macintosh, Lol, I’m sure it will be. As for it beating Linux, that’s a little hard to say. Both Windows and Linux are pretty much equally tied. Once Windows 7 has been official released (And the Black Hat’s study it’s flaws) then we’ll know when it’s the best OS ever.

    Time will tell.

(Didn’t everyone that was testing the Beta’s of Vista say it was going to be an awesome OS? Look how that turned out… It ended up being the next generation Windows ME.)

I agree cent our cent. I just got the Release Candidate and it is AWESOME! It’s everything Vista wasn’t. Honestly, I have never come across such a beautiul OS. Its fast, clean, and efficient, and it looks great! It’s a revolution, and it kicks Mac’s butt any day. Linux and Mac will never catch up to Windows. I just can;t wait till Windows 8! (Apparently, BETA coming out in late 2010?)

Window 7 to me is the same as Vista, nothing really added. I rather have XP or Mac.

    no, but ubuntu is.

How many years will it take for Linux or Mac to catch up to Windows 7

    I didn’t try mac before
    but for linux part
I think the answer is minus 100 years

  • Carling 17October2009

well I have just downloaded and installed 7 and the answer is don’t wast your money buying it…. it is just Vista again, and you will still be vulnerable to web attacks because ms have still not blocked the holes in the kernel dating back to windows NT, 2000, XP, Vista. Windows 7 is still wide open

check out the link below and read it
Linux leaves windows 7 in the dark hole with nowhere to go,,, and nothing to see

Depends on your computer. Mine is a few years old and the graphics card has only 56Mb on board memory. So many of the animated graphics functions either won’t work or they are too slow.
Also it won’t recognize my sound card.

I tried Windows 7 RC over the past few days.

Sticking with Windows XP. It has everything I need.

    Better than vista!

  • Georgy90 24October2009

of course its better than vista bt not perfect.

  • king_mong5@rogers.com 27October2009

I love this OS, I the reason is the ease of use and friendly computer user interface, you also have to admit guys and girls, the interface has to look somewhat good in order for you to like using the interface, I have windows 7 build 7022 right now and its awesome, the only one major issue is that games like crossfire and halo dont work yet because its not offically released and there are no new patches for windows 7 operating systems. Overall good OS much better than vista and XP

  • Dan Evans 28October2009

Yes it is it just like Windows Xp(because Windows Xp is the stable operating made after Windows 2000) (but a lot better)because Windows 7 is stable when it comes in a full version because windows is working hard to make windows seven as paerfect as possible (not like vista still buggy up to now), but it is still in beta form. I prefer you use windows Xp then wait for the full version before getting Windows 7 because it is still in beta you cant use that long and you cannot make it yet as your storage because it expires on April 1, 2010 and starting Mach 1, 2009 it will shut down after every 1 hour you use it. But it is faster, elegant design better than vista, easier to use, more stable than vista, safer, more secure windows, but still no computer is not prone to viruses worms etc… even if you have several anti virus firewalls etc.. and i think linux or mac can catch up about 1-3 years.
