Microsoft Windows 7


so microsoft is working on windows 7, but what are the other 6 before it.

windows 3.1 I would guess is 3.
win 95 would be 4
win 98 would be 5
win 2000/me would be 6
win XP would be 7
win vista would be 8

then they should be on 9 . . . or is there something i’m missing?

    windows 3.1 is actuly number 1. that would mean win 95 is 2 and so on…

    Yeah Windows 3.1 is actually the first one. I made this mistake too but that’s how it is. I know it sounds like a weird name to give the first Windows to be “3.1″ but yeah, then Windows 95 is #2 and so on.

    XP was 5.
    NT was 4.
    3.1 was 3.
    2.0 was 2.
    1.0 was 1.
