Microsoft Windows 7

Hello, I have a downloaded Microsoft Windows 7 a few days and now I am going to install it. Now, during the installation, will I be prompted to give a serial number or anything similar or is the installation straight forward? After the installation, will I need to activate or register the product to use it? Will DirectX 9 and Mircosoft C++ Redistributable work on Windows 7? I have a gaming computer and will it be a good idea to install Windows 7 in it? How many problem may I face? Your answer will be highly appreciated.

Windows 7 requires a license key and for it to be activated like every other version of Windows. Directx 9 will work okay but the C++ redistribution is a problem. I have tried Windows 7 on my notebook and had tons of C++ errors and permission errors I had to restore my laptop and just run with Vista. Keep in mind its a Beta there are a few bugs that needs to be fixed before the final release. Its better to install Windows 7 in a virtual environment instead. Its better to wait for the final release then to upgrade to 7 on your gaming pc. Windows 7 is to be installed on a pc thats to test it.

Well as its beta there is always potential for problems, program crashes bsod’s ETC. Make sure you can get windows 7 drivers for your hardware before installing.
