Windows 7 LogoToday Microsoft released additional information regarding Windows 7 and how it will be packaged to sell. There have been many rumors flying about, including one about a Windows 7 for Netbooks (not something we were looking forward to here at windows7resource.com).

So here they are in order from lowest to highest cost:

Home Basic: Built for developing areas for Microsoft. First results are saying only 3 applications can be loaded at a time and absolutely no Aero

Home Premium: Aero is included as well as Windows Media Center and some streaming features.

Professional: Group Policy included, Encrypting File System and the new Location Aware Printing we’ve heard so much about

Enterprise and Ultimate: You’ll receive BitLocker data protection, DirectAccess and BranchCache to connect to networks using the new Windows Server 2008 R2.

Hopefully this will make things easier for the enterprise and consumers alike. Let us know what you think.
