Today Microsoft released additional information regarding Windows 7 and how it will be packaged to sell. There have been many rumors flying about, including one about a Windows 7 for Netbooks (not something we were looking forward to here at windows7resource.com).

So here they are in order from lowest to highest cost:

Home Basic: Built for developing areas for Microsoft. First results are saying only 3 applications can be loaded at a time and absolutely no Aero

Home Premium: Aero is included as well as Windows Media Center and some streaming features.

Professional: Group Policy included, Encrypting File System and the new Location Aware Printing we’ve heard so much about

Enterprise and Ultimate: You’ll receive BitLocker data protection, DirectAccess and BranchCache to connect to networks using the new Windows Server 2008 R2.
